Bride/Bridegroom

The Selection of the Bride

On April 10th, I was shown the following vision:

I saw a group of women in a room.  Everyone was scurrying around in excitement about the news they had just received – Jesus was coming!  I immediately knew it was the 10 virgins Jesus talked about in Matthew 25:1-13

Suddenly the women split into two groups and the mood completely changed.  A group of five held out their hands before the other five, with an intense look of expectancy, as they asked them to share their oil to fill their lamps.

The scene changed and I saw a large group of people in a field, like an open air theater.  There was a mighty man of God speaking to the group.  I knew instantly he was highly anointed to go out and preach everywhere as led by the Holy Spirit.  But the Lord showed me there were people in the crowd that shouldn’t be there.

Those that shouldn’t be there were saints called to be mighty men and women of God.  They had also been called to speak to others under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.  But instead, they were in the crowd attempting to draw from the anointing of the speaker!  I saw them with their hands extended out towards him, with the same look of expectancy as the 5 foolish virgins as they asked others to share their oil.

End of Vision

The Lord pointed out several things:

The wise virgins maintained an intimate relationship with their Bridegroom. This is made clear when the door was slammed shut on the foolish virgins, because Jesus told them, “I never knew you.” (Matt. 25:11-12)The oil comes at a price – it will cost you. The only way to have intimacy with your Bridegroom, to be known by Him, is to be willing to give up everything for Him – including your time.  Spending time communing with Him in prayer, the study of His Word, and sitting in His presence, will be the desire of your heart.  If you truly love Him, you will seek Him above all else.

The foolish virgins, also depicted as the saints in the crowd, were not willing to pay the cost to develop intimacy with their Bridegroom. When the call when out, “Jesus is coming,” they knew they didn’t have enough oil to make it.  But instead of seeking God for what only He can supply, they looked to man to supply their need.

The Lord showed me this is happening within the Church on a grand scale right now.  Although we are to be encouraged and inspired by the anointing of God on other members within the Body of Christ, acting as iron sharpening iron for one another, the ONLY source for the “oil” is through God Himself!  There is NO OTHER WAY!

This is why our Lord Jesus Christ has been grieved in His spirit.  He knows the Father is about to begin the selection process!  And just as in the time of Esther, and in the parable of the 10 virgins, when many are called and invited to go through the purification process, and to grow in intimacy with their Bridegroom, He knows not all will be chosen!  He is heavy-hearted because many will have to be told, “Depart from Me, I never knew you!”

The Lord wants His people to understand, now is the time to stop chasing after other lovers, other words from individuals, and our own works.  Now is the time to spend sitting with Him, learning about Him, and loving on Him.  Now is the time to cast aside the distractions of this world, and actively pursue the very One we claim to love!  Soon – it will be too late!

Scripture References:

Rev. 19:7-9, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints…”

Eph. 5:27, “…that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”

Matthew 25:1-14, “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.  Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.  And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming….And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’  But the wise answered, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you;  but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those whose who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, have we not prophesied in Yyour Name, cast out demons…and done many wonders in Your Name?’  And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”

Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, but by Me.”

Diana, thank you for the excellent word you’ve given me concerning the makeup of the Bride of Christ. The scriptures you gave and now this message on the Selection answered the question I have wondered about for so long. I’ve never seen or heard this discussed or taught anywhere. You cannot imagine how much your ministry is helping me hold on – truly a God-send, and I give Him all the glory and you, my deepest appreciation and love. Wish I had found you sooner. 🙂

Thank you William and Diana for this word- I so appreciate it and your being an example of flowing together. Recently when I thought about the coming together of the lively stones (us) who make up New Jerusalem (the bride), I heard this word “There is still some jockeying to do.” The etymology of jockey is: “a person who rides horses in races.” As the horse is a symbol of “power”, it seems that there still is a little more learning of how to use and flow with (ride) the power. A jockey is a little man and this morning… Read more »

Michele, Please, forgive the lateness for my reply here but God is readying many things and I have been spending a great deal of time before Him! I am excited about what He is doing by His Spirit and with His people. And thank you for the etymology of those words! Even Paul had made mention about there being a lack of “spiritual fathers”….those who would bring forth life for the Body of Christ! And the lively stones….yes! We are to be “fitly joined together” and this is what the Father is doing even now! He is bringing the various… Read more »

The Lord is having me tell this morning That HE ALONE can discern for HIS BODY that, that is to be discerned. HE says that HE is OPENING UP TO HIS PEOPLE A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH thru discernment. It is all NECESSARY for THE BRIDE TO NOT LOSE HER WAY . DOESN’T IT MAKE THE GREATEST SENSE THAT THE BRIDE FULL OF SPIRITUAL POWER WOULD HAVE REVELATION UPON REVELATION FROM THE ALMIGHTY HEAVENLY FATHER. SHE WALKS BY GRACE AND NOT BY SIGHT. SHE KEEPS HER WICK TRIMMED SO AS TO NOT LOSE HER WAY. SHE IS BELOVED AND… Read more »

Sharon,
Thank you for sharing this! YES! We are to keep our wicks trimmed and our eyes upon our Betrothed! And be prepared as the world and those whose father is the devil will come against those who truly love the Lord Jesus Christ! Jesus told us that that the world will hate us because we are not of this world (carnal world, flesh) and because it hated Him. So those of this world will attempt to come against you but do not be discouraged! Jesus has overcome the world!! All things are under His feet! (John 15:18-19)

Even though I have loved and pursued the Lord for over 40 years, I am finding in these days a deep conviction over how easily I still choose comfort and entertainment rather than the ‘arduous’ task of pressing in in prayer. At the end of a day when tired and wanting to relax, my flesh often wins the battle and I watch an old movies or read a bit. The next morning, the Lord will whisper, “I missed you last night”… whew, knowing He is waiting with anticipation for our tryst helps me to make a better choice the next… Read more »

Brother William, It sounds like a broken record with these messages, but even the LORD Himself has asked graciously and mercifully time and again for people to turn to Him. If only we turn our hearts back to Him, He is gracious and merciful to forgive us and bless us, a sign of His true love for us. And we know this was expanded upon when Jesus Christ gave Himself on the cross and told us the greatest commandment was to LOVE the LORD our GOD and love our neighbors as ourselves. When we are in love with someone, we… Read more »

Brother Frank, Yes, the message may seem a bit redundant in some ways. But God has never strayed from the desire of His heart! The “direction” is the same, although He pulls back the veil and allows us to see a bit more with each step that we take when we seek Him. And, yes! May those who claim to be His rekindle their first love! May we seek Him with all that is in us as I perceive in my spirit that with this message…the wooing is going to stop and the “selection is about to begin!” We have… Read more »

Randy,
The best advice you need is to spend as much time as possible with the One Who knows all things! In Joel 2:28, it says that God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh….stay in the Word of God! He will reveal what He chooses and upon whom He chooses!

This is such a true word of God! I say that with relief because so much that I find has mixture in it. I have always hated and loved the 10 virgin parable. I have hated it because I am a very forgetful person – always forgetting my keys – and I would worry that I since am the type of person that would forget oil, perhaps I will be left out in the cold. Also, this parable goes again our normal Christian inclination to share with others. But you have revealed through the Holy Spirit that oil is not… Read more »

HTrauth,
We are to help one another and to share but…this “oil” must be obtained for our own walk with God and our Lord and Betrothed, Jesus! It cannot be passed on as no one will be able to answer for you when you are to stand before Him and give an account! This is about our own personal relationship with Jesus Christ! We are to consider the cost and if we truly love Him, we will give up everything for “the joy which is set before us!”….just as our Lord Jesus did for us!

The thought I have been pondering over the past few weeks is this: John 14:6 Jesus answered I Am the Way, and the Truth and the Life. It is the “Truth” part that has been on my mind. Out of all the attributes of God, Jesus stated He is Truth. And Ephesians states: Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. I think that is very applicable to these days. We are constantly bombarded with information – both secular and from the religious community. What is correct? Who is lying? If we are not hearing Truth… Read more »

Yes, we are to seek Truth, and that is Jesus! If our own shepherds are not feeding us….we are to find other pastures! That choice is ours!

Please pray for me. I have been seeking and asking God for deeper revelation and knowledge and to show me where I stand with Him because I don’t want to hear Him telling me to depart from Him! I know He loves me but when I compare myself to all of you giants in the faith, I feel like I have a long way to go before I am found worthy to be His bride. My heart aches and yearns for my family, especially my daughter, to return to the Lord.

Athalia, The only “giants” of faith that are out there are only people. All of us are to be as nothing so that God Himself will be glorified! If you desire to grow in Christ Jesus….then my advice to you is to SEEK HIM with ALL of your heart, soul, mind and strength. (Deut. 11:13) This is how each and every believer grows! It is no longer us that lives….but Christ Who lives in us! (Gal. 2:20) Greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world!! (1 John 4:4) As for your family and daughter….trust… Read more »

The Lord has given to me lately to breathe slowly and let my thoughts also move slowly. Patience and wisdom go hand in hand. HE has told me to pass this along to all of my brothers and sisters. THE WORLD IS EVER GOING FASTER AND FASTER AS KNOWLEDGE OF MAN INCREASES THE WORLD FEELS LIKE THEY HAVE NO NEED FOR GOD FOR THEY IN THEIR OWN MINDS “are as gods.” The world is ever going faster and faster and on a collision course with nature and spirit. We as the Bride Of Christ are to slow down and take… Read more »

Sharon,
You are clearly discerning and hearing correctly! What you are being shown is the heart of the Father! What God is doing is to prepare a HOLY BRIDE, not a perfect one…for His Beloved Son! We are to be “fitly joined together” and will be as iron sharpens iron as God chips off those rough edges. And we must submit and surrender EVERYTHING to the Father so that we will be found worthy to be a part! The burden that has been upon my spirit has grown heavy with the shortness of time that we have set before us!

I know that the people who read this blog do not need a warning but still I feel that I need to get this off of my chest so please bare with me. Last night, my husband Israel and I had a particularly lovely time with the Lord and when we went to bed I prayed that HE would speak to us in our dreams. Of course I was expecting something wonderful and ooey gooey but that is not what I got. My husband dreamed of a particular disaster that we all know is coming and I was awoken in… Read more »

Cathy G, Absolutely! We no longer have the luxury to take our time and play church with God! He will remove those who claim to be His but are not! The time for childish things is over….it is time to grow up and be mature. The childish vendettas, backstabbing, gossip, etc have been a stench in the nostrils of God and He is saying that enough is enough! He is preparing those called to be members of the Body of Christ, the TRUE BRIDE, to walk holy before Him so that they can be joined together to form the Body… Read more »

To Michele, the word ‘holocaust’ actually means ‘perfect or complete burnt offering’ and the word for Bride in Hebrew is the word Kallah. The Hebrew word just before it in the Strongs is Kalah which means ‘complete consummation or perfect burnt offering’. So I believe you are hearing about the Bride and also Elijah’s offering burnt by fire from heaven comes to mind. The separation between the prophets of Baal and their unaccepted offering and the holy Prophet who did everything according to God’s instruction, even the things he didn’t understand – like pouring 12 measures of water on the… Read more »

I love the way God uses the two of you to bring about what He wants to say. One is deeply into the Lord to the point of not being online so he can understand and pray…the other is deeply into the Lord to the point of being shown visions to her to explain what is in His Word. When discussed together with God…”A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Eccl 4:12

God is the third strand!

Hope, Bless you! It truly has been a work of God in ALL of this. And you are perhaps of so few who have received understanding of how and what God is doing with these posts! The number could be counted on one hand! During this process, which Diana and I both have been learning, step by step, there has been so much opposition, even from those who claim that they are friends but their true hearts and fruits were exposed by God! God and God alone is the One Who is doing this….not the prodding of man or even… Read more »

Thank you Diana for posting the words you’ve heard. In my heart, I keep hearing that the times we live in, especially here in America, are soon coming to an end and will change in an instant. My prayer time took me to Mathew 11:28-30 as I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with thoughts of my family members and friends who do not take these times seriously. I pray daily they will be awakened and come out of the world. So these passages set my heart to rest, for it says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavily burdened, and… Read more »

Thank you for your post- It’s is a very sobering word Diana. I think of the Lord saying: “Unless you forsake ALL that you have, you can not be my disciple.” Luke 14:33 I wonder how many will do this? This morning during my prayer time, I heard the word “holocaust” and I remembered the great holocaust the Jews experienced. Then my mind went to the prophecies of the terrible things to come, but it was the meaning of the holocaust as “the Jewish sacrificial offering that is COMPLETELY BURNED on the altar” that really got my attention. Truly, WE… Read more »
