Dismantling False Narratives

The Sabbath (Created for More Than You Think)

The morning of July 3rd, 2026, began with a conversation with a sister in Christ who’d had a direct head-on attack by the enemy during the night.  When it happened, the entity even said her name.  The good news is, she took authority in the Name of Jesus, and the evil spirit fled instantly.

After this conversation, the Holy Spirit impressed upon me how the enemy fled when my friend stood in the name and authority given her by Jesus Christ. I remember saying to her, “And it knew your name!”

I was reminded of when the sons of Sceva (the Jewish exorcists) tried to cast out a demon by saying, “We command you by Jesus whom Paul preaches” (Acts 19:13-16). And the demon said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” They were then attacked by the demon possessed man and ran out of the house naked and wounded.

Why is this incident important?

I am sure we have all heard or been part of conversations, when someone is being advised to call on the name of Jesus, or plead the blood of Jesus over a situation, or against an evil spirit.  But we need to examine a couple things here, because this is absolutely critical for the days we are entering.

Yes, Jesus is far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, and not only in this world, but in that which is to come: and all things have been put under His feet, and He is head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fulness of him that fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:16-23).

The Name and authority of Jesus is recognized by the kingdom of darkness. Jesus came to do the will of the Father, performing innumerable miracles during His ministry.

And God worked many miracles through the hands of Paul, so that even pieces of cloth (handkerchiefs) that he touched were sent out to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them (Acts 19).

Demons know the identity of Saints actively involved in destroying the works of the devil.  They knew the name and identity of Jesus – and Paul.

Do they know yours?

This is the question of the hour.  It is true that we have been given the Name of Jesus, and are covered by His Blood.  He has given us the authority to call upon, and to ask in His Name, and it will be done.  Jesus said, “I GIVE YOU AUTHORITY to trample on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; nothing shall in any way harm you (Luke 10:19).”

But not everyone is given this authority!  The sons of Sceva incident bear this out.  It is only given to those who have received Jesus, who are in Covenant with Him!  Let me say this before going further:

This message is not for everyone.  We all know when one comes to Jesus, He meets them where they are.  For a time, they are babes in Christ and bottle fed with the sincere milk of the Word.  The Holy Spirit will then lead them into all truth, and will do so according to the will of God based on the assignment for their life, all in His perfect timing.

No, I am speaking to a particular group of Saints; a mature group who understands what it means to be in Covenant with GodThe devil knows their identity. According to scripture, not only does he know who they are, but goes to make war against them!

An Identifying Sign

Revelation 12:17 says, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Notice, the devil is going to target a specific group. These are obviously “Christians,” as they have the testimony of Jesus Christ.  But what else is said about them?

They keep the Commandments of God!

The group the devil is going to make war against are Christians who keep the commandments of God AND have the testimony of Jesus Christ.  The obvious question here is; “Don’t all Christians keep the commandments of God?”  The answer to that question is,

“No, not all Christians keep the commandments of God.”

As a matter of fact, one commandment in particular was designated to be an identifying sign between God and His people. And it happens to be the one most Christians have rejected.  That sign is the Sabbath!

The Sabbath was instituted by God during creation week in Genesis 2.

“Then the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which he had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all his work, and sanctified it…”

The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment“Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.  Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work in it: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.”

In Exodus 31:13 onward, it says “…My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it’s a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am the LORD that does sanctify you.”

Interesting that God blessed and sanctified (set apart) the Sabbath that we would know He’s the LORD who sanctifies US.  The Sabbath is tied to the sanctification – the setting apart of His people – for holy use!  It’s an integral part of the Covenant between God and His people, and created for more than one might initially think.

The Sabbath is almost always listed at the head of all the other sabbath festivals (see Leviticus 23).  Together, these seven festivals point towards the plan of salvation for mankind.  The Lord wants us to turn our attention in this hour to the weekly Sabbath.  What is its purpose, and what, if anything, is the Sabbath pointing towards?

As mentioned, the Sabbath was sanctified (set apart) for Holy use during creation week. It is the 7th day; not the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd day – it was only the 7th day that was set apart and sanctified.

He set apart this day for His people to rest and be refreshed (Exodus 31:12-17).  Verse 17 says the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was REFRESHED!  This is a day for God’s people to stop all their labor and toil, and to rest and be refreshed.

In Hebrews 4:9-11, we are told “There remains a rest for the people of God.”  This day we are to cease from our own works, as God did from His.  And we are to be diligent to do so.  The Sabbath was meant to be a blessing to man.  It helps keep our eyes focused on the ultimate plan of God.

The Sabbath also pictures the Millenium of Godthe 1,000-year reign of Jesus. It will be amazing, as man will finally experience the life God originally intended for Adam and Eve in the garden.  The seven-day Feast of Tabernacles pictures the entire salvation plan of God for mankind – our ultimate 7th day Sabbath rest.

The Sabbath pictures the end of this 6-days, or ages; the end of all the toil mankind took upon himself.  The Sabbath pictures the end of man’s rule, which he allowed to be usurped by the devil.  The kingdom of darkness will be destroyed forever.  We are soon to step into the next step of God’s plan; rest and refreshment for mankind.  The devil hates the Sabbath for all it points toward!

As Paul said, there remains a rest for the people of God.  The Sabbath pictures us entering into the Holy of Holies to dwell with God; it pictures our entering into that secret place of Psalm 91.  All things belonging to us restored – renewed.  All these analogies picture being called back to the Garden, as the way to the Garden has been opened again through Jesus Christ!

The Bride, His body on earth, will become one with Her bridegroom.  He as the head, and she His Body, walking in the fullness of Him in the earth.  Signs and wonders; mighty miracles greater than during the first century church will be done as the former and latter rains fall upon her.  She will be sent forth to gather in the greatest harvest ever to hit the planet.

The devil hates the Sabbath for good reason. The Sabbath pictures the end of the devil’s reign over the earth.

Remember, the Sabbath is tied to the sanctification – the setting apart of His people – for holy use!  It is an identifying sign of Covenant between God and His people!  And rest assured, the devil knows his enemy!

For it is these that “keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” that he goes to make war against.  The kingdom of darkness trembles at the thought of what is prophesied to take place before the Millennial Sabbath rest begins.

“For behold, the time comes that will burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, will be stubble: and the day that comes will burn them up, says the LORD of hosts, that it will leave them neither root nor branch… and you shall trample down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet…” (Malachi 4:3)

Yes, the devil hates the Sabbath – that commandment given to be an identifying sign between God and His people – to set them apart.  The devil and his minions know the identity of Saints who are actively involved in destroying the works of the devil.  The enemy knew the name and identity of Jesus.  They knew the name and identity of Paul and God’s faithful Remnant throughout history – those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.  The question of the hour is:

Do they know yours?

Please take all shared here before the Lord for confirmation and further understanding.  The Holy Spirit is calling attention to what is unfolding before us.  Everything in the Word of God points towards Jesus, our Messiah, and what He came to do.  The Sabbath is an integral part of that plan; created for more than most in the body of Christ realize. Everything about the Sabbath points to Jesus and the coming Kingdom of God!

Blessings to all!

Excellent Diana! I hope that the importance of this message goes out to many in the days ahead. Because being in true covenant is everything!
