The middle of February, during my quiet time with the Lord, I asked Him three questions. They were similar to what I normally ask, but this particular morning, His answer to each question was exactly the same. His reply has since consumed me until I can hardly think of anything else.
I was recounting all the Lord’s recently revealed to me personally, as well as many others, especially this past year. He’s shown His children through His Word, dreams, and visions, what lies directly ahead.
We know death and mass destruction will soon sweep across the earth into every nation. He’s revealed terrorism will soon come to the churches in America – and many other things. I can’t speak for anyone else, but when the Lord revealed these coming events to me, it shook me to my core. I now realize that it’s in His mercy He’s told us these things in advance, allowing time for repentance and mourning over what’s soon to come. It’s hard to imagine what it would be like not to be forewarned.
Something’s Not Right!
As I sat there pondering these things, a strong sense that we (the Church) are in some sort of a holding pattern rose within my spirit. Something wasn’t right. It was as if the Lord was waiting on something and wanted me to inquire of Him. So I asked, “What now, Lord?”
As soon as the question left my lips, I heard the Lord say, “Glorify Me!” It was said sternly, and with such a sense of urgency, that I knew it was a Word of correction. He quickly showed me it wasn’t only for me, but the entire Body of Christ. The following was spoken to my spirit:
“I tell you of things to come to fulfill my promise to you, and to warn you of the schemes of your enemy. You have also been shown the Glory that shall fall upon My anointed ones, and all My provision. But too many of you are cowering in fear, taking anxious thought for tomorrow. You glorify your enemy with this fear, as you magnify his works.
“Fear not, be strong and very courageous, for without faith it is impossible to please Me. I am sending you forth as My ambassadors. Glorify Me!”
“The walls must come down! Evil men and seducers have erected walls to divide my Church. This cannot be. You call yourselves Catholics and Protestants; and you call yourselves after the name of mere men. The fighting and strife between you is a stench in my nostrils. Did I not tell you by this shall all men know you are my disciples, if you love one another? There is only one body and one Spirit. Glorify Me!”
“Your appointed pastors and teachers seek glory only for themselves. In their desire to be needed and looked to, they stand between the people and their True Shepherd. Did I not tell you, “My sheep hear My voice, and the voice of another they will not follow?” Your lofty positions will soon come to an end.”
“My appointed pastors know their assignment: You must labor to equip My saints for works of ministry, to build up and unite My Body. Humbly teach My sheep to listen to My voice and follow no other. Your assignment is not complete UNTIL the whole Body reaches unity in the faith and attains to the measure of the fullness of Christ. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a Holy temple in the Lord. It is then I will fully indwell My temple. Glorify Me!”
“My Children, teach even the smallest among you to listen to My voice. Do not rely on the voice of others. Each of you must inquire of Me. In the days ahead, everyone, from the least to the greatest, will need to hear directly from their Lord. Your very lives will depend on this.”
“The storm approaches, the winds are blowing. Do not look at this storm. Keep your eyes focused straight ahead on Me! I AM your source. I AM your strength. It is in the midst of this storm that you will Glorify Me!”
Interpretation:
I believe the Lord has made it very clear. The Lord, and Him only, will be Glorified! He’s waiting on His Church to fully surrender, to turn our eyes and ears toward Him. As we do, the walls that separate will come crashing down. The whole building, joined together, rising to become a Holy Temple in the Lord. The Glorious Church, finally walking in the Fullness of the Lord!
So there you have it; His answer to my question, “What now, Lord?” As for the other two questions that morning:
• I always ask the Lord if there’s something in particular He wishes me to do that day, so I asked, “What would You like me to do today?” He said, “Glorify Me!”
• Although the Lord speaks many things to me, I don’t “post” them unless the Lord leads me to do so. So I asked, “Do You have a Word for me to share?” He said, “Glorify Me!”
