“Each of Mine Will Go Through the Garden.”

Garden of Gethsemane

I’d like to share an experience from the morning of November 10th.

That morning began with me throwing a “fit” before the Lord.  I was in agony over a situation that had arisen and was literally wailing to God, desperately wanting Him to do something about it, or remove me from it.  It was then that my phone rang.  A sister in Christ had told me she’d call at that particular time to discuss a horrific situation which had happened prior to her becoming a follower of Jesus Christ.

I’m not at liberty to disclose too many details, but as she spoke, it became obvious one of the main things she fought to hold on to during this ordeal was her sanity, faith that there was a God, and that He would somehow see her through. This was a hostage situation and the perpetrators were satanic.  Every evil mind control tactic, as well as physical attacks, you can imagine was used against her to get her to succumb, so she’d give her dominion and will over to them.

She lost control of every aspect of her life, as even her thoughts were being manipulated.  I’ll stop here, because her story will be made public in a couple weeks, and I’ll provide a link to the interview on the website when available.  But as she and I talked, the Lord began to speak to both of us, giving amazing revelations.  The following is a part of what I was personally shown which relates specifically to what William has shared:

At one point she said, “Diana, the Church has no idea what they’ll be facing, and I fear many will give up their faith.”  Immediately, I heard in my spirit,

“Each of Mine will go through the Garden.”

As I heard those words, I saw Jesus bowed before His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, asking if there was any way the cup could be removed from Him; was there any way the plan could be changed?  But in the same breathe, without hesitation, He surrendered His will, His comfort, and all His earthly desires to the will of His Father.  As His flesh screamed out to live, He handed it over to be crucified.

I was horrified as I thought of my pathetic attempts to get God to cater to my wants and desires just that very morning!  My situation was not a matter of life and death, but the ease and comfort of my flesh!  The Lord showed me how my actions were a representation of the Church.  The message of being crucified with Christ is offensive to most of the “church, and you won’t hear it talked about on Sunday mornings.

My friend is correct.  What she experienced will be similar to what some of us will go through.  The Church as a whole cannot even imagine what lies ahead.  Because of the refusal to submit our will to the Father, allowing the flesh to be crucified on a daily basis, many will never allow themselves to be led to the Garden, and end up denying their faith.

The Word of God plainly says if we’re to share His glory, we must also share in His suffering…  We must die daily, allowing the flesh to be crucified with its passions and desires.   The Lord is saying,

“Each of Mine will go through the Garden.”

The Bride of Christ must become like Him to be united with Him!  For her to be able to walk in the Fullness of His Glory, She too must allow herself to be led to the Garden.  No flesh can look upon His Glory – much less contain it, so there must be complete and total destruction of it.

I believe I was shown a time is coming when each of us will be called upon to completely surrender our will, with all fleshly need and desire, to the Father.  It will be the final, complete “crucifixion” of our flesh.  It may look different for each one of us, but each must say,

“Nevertheless, not my will but Yours be done!”

Scripture References:

Romans 6:5-9, “For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.  For he who has died has been freed from sin.  Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more.  Death no longer has dominion over Him.”

Isaiah 55:9, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Galatians 5:24, “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

Matthew 26:36-39, “… My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

Romans 8:17, “…if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.”

  1. Only by falling in love with our Lord can we say yes to this. The Lord has been telling me to spend more time with Him than ever before to gain deeper understand than has been available to me in the past of the depths of love he has for me (us) and it has been sweet.

Below is a link to a teaching by Francis Chan on rejoicing in suffering done at a conference at IHOPKC. It speaks of how he was impacted to learn that this was one of the 5 pillars of an underground church in China. Well worth the time to watch it. • Robert,
That is absolutely the key, spending more time in His presence than ever before. Thank you for the link. It’s the churches in places like China, where they don’t have the ease and comfort of worshiping our Lord in the open, that have a much fuller understanding of being crucified on a daily basis.
      Blessing to you, Robert!

  2. Wether we live or die in this flesh, let all that we do be for the glory of God. This life is a vapor and quickly passes away so whatever we endure is nothing compared to the eternity ahead of is with Jesus. Think about Jesus liv8ng His entire life overcoming everything for the time of glory on the cross. Think of the hours he hung there, the torture and rejection beforehand, the temptation by the devil and other instances we don’t know about when He could have called upon the Father for help but instead He submitted His will obediently for the Fathers will to be done. I can hardly handle imagining any of these things but I know I want to serve and love my LORD how He loves me.

I think Jesus asking the disciples to count the cost of following Him is kind of trick question. In my daily prayer I tell Jesus there is no cost too high for me to serve Him. I don’t have enough to pay for what he has done and is doing for me. He gave me my life and I want give it to or for Him however He wants to use it. I don’t have a will anymore only to complete the mission He put me on this Earth for. Like Paul says wether we live or die, we go to be with Jesus so what does it really matter what happens to us. God appointed our end anyway so why worry about the expiration of this flesh and this world when we could be walking with Jesus daily wether we live here or in Heaven.

Diana, I know you have been trying to make this point all year and bless you sister for sharing. We all need to learn this lesson in our own way but we truly need to forsake the world and everything for Jesus. The intimacy after the refining fire and chastening is truly wonderful we just have to be willing to endure and hold onto Jesus with all we have even if it feels like it is just by a thread of His garment.

Remember, He loves us so much that He was willing to take on the flesh and submit Himself for 30+ years in order to redeem/purchase us! That’s like saying you’ll put yourself in general population at a maximum security prison with a life sentence to save lives! How crazy would that be? But that is how crazy our God, our LORD and Savior is about us! We need to get to that place of being willing to do or endure whatever He requires no matter the cost because He is worthy and so worth it. We are worth it to HIM! I’m a work in progress too, but it is exciting to pick up that cross and follow Him because that place is where I am seeing God move in my life and answer prayers and move people I wasn’t sure if I would see move! Glory to God! Tune out the world and tune into God! Praise the Lord! Thanks Sister!

P.S. If my posts are too long let me know and I could email you personally instead, if you don’t mind, of how your posts confirm things I am experiencing in my walk with the LORD. Sorry for taking up so much space! It’s hard not to share Jesus! God bless you!

    • Frank,
Your enthusiasm for the things of God is so very encouraging. And the Word says it was “it was for the joy sat before Him that He endured the cross.” We need to say that very same thing, that for the joy sat before US we endure the cross! I pray the Church receive a glimpse of what lays before us, as this should fill us with JOY unspeakable!

I do not believe your comments are too long, Frank! You are allowing the rivers of living waters flow outward, touching the readers.
      God bless you!

  3. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.
    I Thessalonians 5:9‭-‬10 NKJV

For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
    Philippians 1:19‭-‬21 NKJV

For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord In the land of the living. I believed, therefore I spoke, “I am greatly afflicted.” I said in my haste, “All men are liars.” What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the Lord . I will pay my vows to the Lord Now in the presence of all His people. Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints. O Lord , truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my bonds. I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the Lord .
    Psalms 116:8‭-‬17 NKJV

  4. Luke 22:43 (ASV)“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.” And there appeared unto him an ANGEL from heaven, strengthening him. Angel’s will be there for us too I imagine..I can’t even imagine how Jesus felt in that moment becoming sin and more human then he had ever felt emotionally and physically BUT He did it for us, what love..a love so hard to even comprehend at times. God Bless! I pray God strengthens all of us to the point we need to be at, after the surrender came the strength. Thats what you were referring to..amen

  5. As I prepare myself to become more separate from the world and desire to be a part of the remnant Bride, I find myself saying to the Lord that I’m willing to be a martyr for Him. I haven’t shared that with others before but want to make my words public now. I do hope in the rapture but strongly sense in my spirit we are to give all to Him including our lives.

    • Andrea,
It sounds like you have completely surrendered your will to Him. And yes, we all must come to that point, “Not my will but Yours be done!”
      Blessings to you, Andrea!

  6. Funny I stumbled upon this page.

What is happening in my life just now feels like an agony. There is so much uncertainty about the future.
I believe God has been asking me to trust Him, though I am deeply ashamed to say I am finding that very difficult as so much has changed for the worse.
Thank you for posting this work. I will remember it as encouragement. God Bless you.

    • Bridget,
To our natural man, the future does seem so uncertain, but we must remember our God is sovereign over all – past, present, and future. He knew the end from the very beginning and calls those things that be not as though they are. Absolutely nothing that happens in our life catches Him by surprise, and we can trust that he will never leave or forsake us.

Oftentimes, when we surrender all to Him, things “appear” to get worse. That is because as we give Him permission to finish the work in us, He will begin to prune and shake everything around and in us. What is shakeable will be shaken, so that what is unshakeable will remain. Everything not of God must be removed, and that can be a very painful process.

He is asking you to trust Him in this, Bridget. For after the crucifixion of your flesh is complete, you have the resurrection to look forward to, for you will be touched with the Power of His Love ( God bless you!

  7. Praise Gid …sister that is what i want..but i cant imagine going through any more in my life ..i am a little scared too….i know u are praying for me..and i am very thankful…love u..God bless u

    • Renu,
I want to encourage you to continue trusting God when you are in the garden, as He knows exactly what must be done in your life. Take your eyes off your circumstances and fix them on Him – no matter the pain. Renu, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear…” 1 John 4:18. Whenever we feel fear, we must know that is not of God; then immediately get into His presence and be filled with His perfect LOVE!
      God bless you!

  8. Amen! I have that picture you chose to use and picked it up off my shelf and was looking at it the night before as it is one of my favorite picture’s. Thank you both for the words spoken and sharing along in obedience for our preparation

  9. YES! Surrendering ALL to Father when wooed and driven into the garden/wilderness is the only safe place to be, oddly enough, yet as we know our King suffered more and had no sin. v

    • Victoria,
That is exactly! God desires us to trust Him enough with everything so that He can lead us to our own “Garden” experience. He will not force us to go there. We must desire it more than our own fleshly desires and the things of this world. And as our King suffered for us, knowing the joy which was set before Him, we, too, must be willing to suffer. We MUST become like Him before we can be joined with Him!

    • Hope,
Absolutely! The Lord is giving glimpses into this time period. As promised, the Holy Spirit is leading us into all truth and showing us things to come!

    • Hope,
The wonderful thing is that our Loving Father is continuing to woo us to draw even closer to Him so that He can reveal those puzzle pieces to us and help us put them together to show us the “Big Picture” which is so much more than we could imagine!
