The morning of September 23, 2019, God woke me up at 3:30 am saying, “Get up!” Believe me, I did NOT want to wake up. Because of two sleepless nights in a row, I’d went out like a light the night before. Rolling over, I started to drift back to sleep.
As soon as I began losing consciousness, the Lord said,
“Get up! This will go much quicker than you think!”
That got my attention! I rose to a sitting position at the edge of my bed and sat there for a minute trying to get my bearings. I asked, “What is going to go much quicker than I think?” But He only repeated what He’d said. A great sense of urgency came upon me, so I rose up and began scurrying around to prepare for the day – for whatever it was that was to go much quicker than I thought.
At first I believed it had to do with the birth of my granddaughter. I’d prayed the night before that her birth would be perfectly timed, and was expecting a call to head to the hospital at any moment.
Before I jumped into action, I checked to make sure it was okay to begin the day with prayer and study as always, and received a “yes.” As I began, it was soon made crystal clear this was not just a personal word to me, but to the entire Body of Christ.
An email received the night before from a sister in the Lord going through a tough time began bringing everything into focus. She asked if I’d felt a “shift in the spirit,” and stated she felt everything had slowed and become more quiet than normal.
The Lord then reminded me of recent conversations and prayers with those going through horrific trials, some lasting for years, and how they’re barely able to hold on. Many of you are even now in the depths of the valley and crying out to the Lord. Some, unable to pray, groaning before Him.
Not only is He speaking of world events, which sometimes seem to get quiet or be “on hold,” but He’s speaking to our particular circumstances.
We’re told the Lord we seek will suddenly come to His temple (Mal. 3:1). Saints, this word is not only a warning to stay awake and ready, but it’s to encourage us in the midst of our trials and afflictions.
God will bring justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night and will not delay (Luke 18:17).
Our God is a God of suddenlies!
The Lord told me the Holy Spirit would minister this word to each of us, to speak directly to our individual situations. As I said, I’ve been filled with a great sense of urgency to be ready for whatever may come; but I’m also encouraged with an expected end to some deep long-term personal trials.
God is saying to all of us,
“Get up! This will go much quicker than you think!”
Please pray over what’s been presented for interpretation and how this may apply to you personally.
